My Story
I've spent 20+ years building, launching, and sometimes failing at businesses. I've been the founder with too much scope and not enough budget. I've been the CTO cleaning up someone else's technical debt. I've been the consultant watching a client build the wrong thing because nobody pushed back.
That experience shaped how I work now.
I don't believe in building for the sake of building. I believe in testing before you commit. I believe the best thing I can sometimes say is "don't build this" — because an honest challenge is more valuable than a yes-man with an invoice.
I'm based in Nottingham and work with founders and organisations across the UK. When I'm not consulting, I'm co-founder of Mindora (an AI-powered employee wellbeing platform) and Managing Partner at nuom (a healthtech consultancy).
What I Believe
The principles that guide how I work with clients
Product & MVPs
- Most founders try to build too much, too soon
- A small, well-chosen MVP beats a sprawling v1 nobody uses
- No-code and AI tools are for learning faster, not skipping thinking
AI in organisations
- AI is most useful when it's wrapped around real work, not bolted on as a gimmick
- A few proven use cases beat a 50-page "AI strategy"
- Guardrails are enablers, not blockers
How I work
- No hype, no magic tricks — just honest experiments and clear thinking
- Show, don't tell — prototypes and examples over theory
- Co-design where possible — teams learn more when they build with me, not after me
